Seasons & Cycles

The interconnectedness between ourselves and the natural world.

Some of you may have heard me mention the “cycles and seasons” of the natural world, but you might not know exactly what that entails. Given that it’s the underlying connection point for our mission of the farm, I wanted to take some time to break things down a bit for a more general idea of what it all means and how they all relate.

When I speak of the cycles and seasons of nature, there are three main things that are the foundation of the work.

  • The seasons of nature - based on the sun (e.g. Spring, Summer, Winter and Autumn)

  • The seasons of the zodiac - based on the sun (e.g. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc.)

  • The cycles of the moon (e.g. full, new, etc.)

  • The classical elements (e.g. earth, air, fire and water)

Within these, there are overlapping themes, complimentary archetypes, and noticeable synchronicities. They’re all connected to one another - and we’re connected to them. Scientists have come to understand this through their research and evidence while others have come to understand this based on their inner truths. In either case, the interconnectedness of everything is an incredible phenomenon.

Yet, it’s not lost on many of us that here we stand in a world that is more disconnected than ever. Or rather, more disconnected in the ways that mean the most. It is for this reason we are so passionate about our mission.

I’ll be sharing more about the overlap between all of the seasons, cycles, archetypes, and elements. And how the awareness and connection of them all can offer us incredible insights into our own awareness, healing, experience and existence as humans.
